Fishing Trip: Plan a fishing trip to Lake of the Woods where there is excellent walleye,northern pike,bass and crappie fishing.
Hunting Trips: A canadian hunting trip to the Kenora area gives you your choice of whitetailed deer, moose, grouse or duck hunting.
Swimming: While on your family vacation with us spend a day swimming on our sand beach on beautiful Lake of the Woods.
Saunas: Enjoy a sauna after a day on Lake of the Woods when you stay at Smith's Camp & Old Pilots Pub in the Kenora area.

Ice Fishing
Snowmobiling: If you enjoy winter activities we are open in the winter to accomodate those of you who like snowmobliling, ice fishing, crossing country skiing in the Kenora area.
Canoeing: At Smith's Camp we have canoeing & kayaking rentals available for our guests.
Angling
Walleye: Walleye fishing on Lake of the Woods is well known for its excellent walleye fishing where fish range from good eating size to trophy walleye. For a change of pace spend a day at a remote fly in lake where we will arrange a day trip for you.
Muskie: A canadian muskie fishing trip to Lake of the Woods well known for the chance of a gigantic musky will be a great fishing experience when you stay with us at Smith Camps, where our guides can lead you to the favourite spots.
Northern Pike: The thrill of landing a trophy northern pike is every fisherman's dream and on Lake of the Woods in the Kenora area there is a good chance of that when fishing Big Stone Bay or Aulneau Peninsula.
Smallmouth Bass: Lake of the Woods is well know for its excellent smallmouth bass fishing and our Big Stone Bay area near Kenora is no exception. Smallmouth can range from 2-3 lbs, of course that trophy bass is always a possibility.
Crappie: If you enjoy ice fishing then Lake of the Woods and Crappie fishing go together. Summer or winter activity what a better way to enjoy a fishing vacation then a day on our lake.
Ice Fishing: At Smith Camps we offer ice fishing for walleye, northern pike, crappie, enjoy a day snowmobling on Lake of the Woods to that favourite fishing hole.
Perch: Perch are common on most of our lakes in Northwestern Ontario. They are a great pan fish for shore lunch.
Lake Trout: Lake Trout are ofen caught in many of our bays on Lake of the Woods and trophy lakers are a real possiblity.
Largemouth Bass: Largemouth bass is not as popular as smallmouth but on Lake of the Woods many are caught in the range from 3 - 6 lbs,some larger have been caught but on the average 3 - 6 lbs is a good range.
Nature and Adventures
Wildlife Viewing: Our forests are teeming with wildlife viewing year round. When you nature walk on one of our trails or spend time on Lake of the Woods, you are likely to see eagles, rabbits, fox, moose,deer and much more.
Hunting
Deer: The Lake of the Woods area of northwestern ontario is well known for it's excellent whitetailed deer hunts & our lodge offers packages that include your accomodations as well as guided hunts. We also offer primitive weapon hunts on Aulneau Peninsula
Moose: Our Moose Hunting packages are seven days and include accomodations in our comfortable cottages and can be unguided or fully guided trips which ever you prefer for your hunt.
Wolf: You can also harvest Timber wolf on a small game licence.The wolves are usually hunting the same whitetailed deer you are and quite often at the same time you are, this can make for some trilling hunts.
Marine
Fishing Boats: Our fishing boat rentals are 16' with 20-25 honda motors, 16' deepwater with 40 yamaha's or 21 ft Lund Offshore I/O Top and 9.9 outboard motor and all our boats include safety equipment.
Boat Gas: At Smith's Camp on Lake of the Woods we have boat gas available for our guests who wish to bring their own boats.

American Plan: Enjoy our american plan package whether you bring your own boat or want our boat rentals. Our plan includes your morning and evening meal in the lodge dinning room, clean and comfortable accomodations.
Cabin Rentals: Our canadian cabin rentals on Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario are fully modern comfortable cabins that are equuipped with complete kitchen facilities, bath, linens, and towels.
Cottage Rentals: When looking for cottage rentals for your fishing or family vacation near Kenora, Ontario, at Smith Camps and Old Pilots Pub we have clean comfortable accomodations as well as plenty of activities to keep everyone busy on their vacation.
Outposts: We also operate an outpost on Resolute Island, 30 miles south of our main camp & reachable only by boat or fly-in. The cabin accommodates 4 persons comfortably & a maximum of 6 people for fishing, hunting, photography & wildlife opportunities.
Family Vacations: Enjoy a family vacation where we cater to family friendly activities - Our groomed sand beach has a playground for kids and safe swimming! Have a game of horse shoes, or ladderball, go berry picking or enjoy one of the nature trails close to camp.
Drive In Access: Drive-in to our camp on Lake of the Woods. We have year round road access and are 2 hours east of Winnipeg or 2.5 hours north of the U.S. border
Restaurants: Enjoy a cold drink at the "Old Pilots Pub" and a meal in our fully licenced restaurant. Time it right and you may be even able to watch live entertainment.
Conference Rooms: If you are planning a working fishing vacation on Lake of the Woods we have conference rooms that are available.
Fishing and Hunting: For you convenience at Smith Camps we have fishing & hunting licences available at the lodge.
Hunting: Our lodge offers hunting guides for whitetail deer or moose, our guides are all very familiar with our area and are experts in their field to help you with a successful hunt.
